it was early... it was slippery... it was wet... it was loud... and a tiny click of the shutter fixed it in time.
it's hard to show in this shot but the waves would suck out all the water about 8 feet below the rock face and then fill that void in a fast, vertical collision. This was by far the biggest wave that came when I was there (it was also the wave that told me I was tempting my luck). Comments are always welcomed! Taken on the east shore of Oahu, Hawaii.
