Hi everyone!

Well, I was really excited to start writing again and to get back into the swing of photography. I'm finally getting off my butt and moving forward. During these last 6 months, I've been on a pretty exhaustive trip of inner exploration and junk . And I've got so much to share and have all of these new ideas for photography.

But alas, things don't go as planned. I'm pretty bummed out. My Canon 5d and 17-40L were mounted on my tripod when a huge gust of wind pushed it over... 6 feet to the ground and all I saw was the lens go flying off on impact. The 17-40 is just snapped in half. Thankfully, the body just has some crazy dents in it, but it seems to be working. Gah, and the couple of upcoming series I have planned kind of hinge on that wide angle lens. I don't know what to do except start looking for another. But, being the poor college student I am, I'll probably have to stop eating to accommodate that... hah.

I really have all this stuff planned, so onwards I guess (one broken lens can't stop me). I'm taking photography extremely seriously, and hopefully it'll show in the upcoming work. I've dropped out of architecture school, and this fall I have a 4 month trip around the states. Just such a bummer that the lens had to break now. Bleh, but things move on.
